About Lincolnville
Lincolnville has a rich and unique history. The town was founded in 1867 by seven African American men, all former slaves, who purchased the land to create an independent community for themselves and their families, where they could vote and live freely.
To get to the airport From Lincolnville, take US-78 E toward Charleston. Merge onto I-26 E, then take I-526 E toward Mt. Pleasant. Follow signs for Exit 16 to Charleston International Airport (CHS). The drive is approximately 20-25 minutes.
